This Privacy Policy applies to the SodaFocus iOS application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

SodaFocus is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App's features.

a) Information You Provide Directly:

• Focus Session Data: When you use the App, we store information about your focus sessions. This includes the date, duration, success status, and the associated tag you've chosen. This data is essential for the statistics and history features of the App.
• Tags: We store the custom tags (e.g., "Studying," "Work") that you create to categorize your focus sessions.

b) Information We Do Not Collect: We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) that you don't voluntarily provide. We do not track your location, access your contacts, or collect personal details like your name, age, or gender, unless required for the services described below (e.g., iCloud).

c) Anonymized Analytics Data: To help us understand how the App is being used and to improve its performance, we may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This data is not linked to you personally and may include information such as device type, iOS version, session frequency, and feature usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the App: Your focus data and tags are used locally on your device to power the core features of the App, such as displaying your focus history and statistics.
• To Offer Optional iCloud Sync: If you choose to enable iCloud Sync (a premium feature), your Focus Session Data and Tags will be securely stored in your private iCloud account. This allows you to back up your data and sync it across your personal Apple devices. We do not have access to the data stored in your private iCloud account. Apple's Privacy Policy governs the use of iCloud.
• To Improve Our App: Anonymized analytics help us identify bugs, understand which features are most popular, and make informed decisions about future updates.

3. Data Storage and Security

• On-Device Storage: By default, all your focus data and tags are stored locally and securely on your device.
• iCloud Storage: If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is transferred and stored securely in your private iCloud container, managed by Apple. We use standard Apple technologies (CloudKit) for this purpose.
